About Us

As aminoglycosides are introduced into medical practice, 4 generations of antibiotics of this group are distinguished. Generation I is represented by Streptomycin, Neomycin, Kanamycin, Monomycin. 2nd generation - Gentamicin. III generation - Tobramycin, Amikacin, Netilmicin, Sizomycin. IV generation - Isepamycin. Aminogdicosides forchange for the treatment of serious diseases such as plague, tuberculosis, tularemia, etc. They have dangerous side effects, and therefore, their use in medical practice is limited (damage to the kidneys, auditory and phrenic nerves). Macrolides are the most non-toxic antibiotics.

They are highly safe and well tolerated by patients. The drugs of this group are represented by Erythromycin, Spiramycin, Josamycin and Midecamycin - natural antibiotics and Clarithromycin, Azithromycin, Midecamycin acetate and Roxithromycin - of semi-synthetic origin. Macrolides are prescribed mainly for infections caused by gram-positive cocci and intracellular parasites - mycoplasma and chlamydia, as well as legionella. Rifampicins are semi-synthetic derivatives of the natural antibiotic Rifamycin, which is produced by actinomycetes.
